On November 4, 2016, the Laurel Highlands Visitors Bureau held its 6th annual Interactive Marketing Summit. With record high attendance of over 170 people, this event was an absolute success. The LHVB marketing department puts on this annual event as a way to expose our local partners to the latest trends in the ever-changing world of interactive marketing. This year, LHVB welcomed 12 phenomenal speakers and panelists, each experts in their particular field, to give presentations focused on new Digital Marketing, Analytics, Growth Hacking, Video Usage, Web Content, and Social Media tactics.

Media Convergence: Making It Work

Pete Baird has over 12 years experience in developing successful media platforms and digital marketing strategies for brands at the international, national, and local levels. Pete has composed integrated interactive and traditional media plans for such prominent brands as Wal-Mart, AT&T, BMW, Cedar Fair Entertainment, Pennsylvania Tourism, the University of Maryland, and the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra. After a stint client-side running the digital marketing department at Kenny Ross Automotive, Pete now oversees media strategy, planning, and buying for all Red House clients. Pete graduated from Penn State and received his MBA in marketing strategy from the University of Maryland.

Jorge Puron has 10 plus years of experience in digital strategy and user interface design. After attaining his Bachelors Degree in Graphic Design from The Art Institute of Pittsburgh, he rapidly expanded his portfolio and became proficient in team work and communication.  He has worked on a wide range of international, national, and local clients including: Heinz, Coca-Cola, Transitions, Bath and Body Works, American Eagle, Rachael Ray Nutrish, and Carnegie Mellon University.

Robert Faletti is co-founder of Blue Archer, Pittsburgh’s leading web design and digital marketing and custom development agency. Blue Archer works with businesses to help them leverage the web for growth and productivity.
 
Mr. Faletti has 20 years of executive management, consulting, and entrepreneurial experience. Mr. Faletti began his career as the founder of a New England-based catalog business focused on outdoor recreation. After selling to a national competitor, Mr. Faletti became VP of Marketing at Keystone Precision, a leading manufacturer of high-end fishing tackle. Mr. Faletti focused on expanding and building new distribution channels with an emphasis on foreign markets.
 
Prior to co-founding Blue Archer, Mr. Faletti joined Arthur Andersen Business Consulting, where he assisted with building the practice for E-Commerce Strategy & Revenue Enhancement.
 
Mr. Faletti is Past-President of ACG Pittsburgh, Past-President of BNI of Western Pennsylvania’s Circle of Excellence, and regularly speaks on the topics of internet strategy and web design.
 
Mr. Faletti is an active volunteer, donating time to a number of nonprofit organizations, as well as serving on the board of trustees for Aresenal Family & Children’s Center. Mr. Faletti was also honored as Father of the Year by the American Diabetes Association. A Pittsburgh native and a Duquesne University graduate, Mr. Faletti currently resides in Gibsonia with his wife and three daughters.

Nick is a mildly obsessive creative with a penchant for building brands and assembling loyal tribes. He co-founded and handled business development for the online apparel print business Senecapress.com. He am also the founder and creative director of the online outdoor journal Senecacreek.us. His most recent move to Marketing Strategist at Carney.co has created a perfect balance between design, strategy, and communication. FAQs:

If I attended last year, is it beneficial for me to attend again this year?
YES! Although some of the subject matter is the same as our previous summits, each presentation topic has changed greatly throughout the past year. We've also added a new topic this year!  

What time should I arrive for the event?
The doors open at 8:30 am. Open registration, vendor showcase, networking, and light breakfast will be available from 8:30 am - 9:15 am.  

Is parking available?
Yes, plenty of free parking is available. When entering the campus of Saint Vincent College, tell the person operating the entrance booth that you are attending a Laurel Highlands Visitors Bureau Interactive Marketing Summit event at the Fred Rogers Center. She will direct you to the parking lot right outside of the building.

What is the dress code?
Dress is casual...jeans and relaxed clothes are encouraged!

Is wi-fi available?
Yes! Free wi-fi is available

Do I need to bring a laptop or electronic tablet?
Bringing an electronic device is not necessary for the event, however if you would like to bring a laptop or tablet, you will be able to connect to the wi-fi available on campus.

How do I get to the Fred Rogers Center at Saint Vincent College?
The Fred Rogers Center is located on the campus of Saint Vincent College in Latrobe. The address for the college is: 300 Fraser Purchase Rd, Latrobe, PA 15650, the Fred Rogers Center is located on Monastery Road. Get directions and see it on a map.

What time will the event be over?
The 2016 Interactive Marketing Summit is scheduled to conclude around 3:30 pm.

If I can't make it to this year's event, will there be other educational opportunities available?
Yes! The Laurel Highlands Visitors Bureau hosts the Interactive Marketing Summit every year on the first Friday of November. Hopefully you'll be able to join us next year!
