The park has received national recognition for its facilities and programs that are designed for use by all people. Extensive stone paved walkways, three fishing decks, pavilion rentals, an activity center, the boathouse, an outdoor amipheater, Vietnam Veterans of Westmoreland County Memorial, as well as modified picnic and play areas are a few of the facilities available.
The Winter Sports Area at the Twin Lakes Park Expansion has night lighting for sledding and tubing after dark! The area will be open from 9am-8pm Sunday through Thursday, and from 9am-9:30pm on Fridays and Saturdays. These hours only apply to the Winter Sports Area and lights will be on only if conditions are suitable. The Winter Sports Area at Twin Lakes Park consists of three sledding and tubing runs, a small covered shelter and a fire ring. There is a beginner, an intermediate and an advanced snow run. Sleds and tubes are not provided at the site. This is a non-supervised facility, and snow tubing and sledding are at your own risk.
You can also find a dog park, skate park and even a hockey rink. There is something for everyone at Twin Lakes Park!
