Renew your running practice, refresh and relax your body and spirit, change your routine and make new running friends (the best kind!). Enjoy a fun-filled, no stress day of yoga and trail running at an easy-going, non-competitive pace on beautiful single track, dirt trails in Maryland’s Savage River Forest. Runners will meet at LPS Strength & Meditation for a 50-minute slow vinyasa flow full of pranayama and running-themed intention to begin the day. The group will be transported to the trailhead at the exquisite, rustic, secluded Savage River Lodge. Runners will be placed in various pace groups with one leader and one sweep runner per group. The run will begin with a short talk-up of trail running basics and quick pre-run warm-up. After the run, participants are invited to change clothes and wash up in the bathrooms of the Savage River Lodge. All runners will then reconvene for a 30-minute slow flow and yin-style post-run yoga cool down. Then it’s time to eat! The Savage River Lodge will provide a catered, healthy lunch excellent for recovery of the joints and muscles. We will return to LPS after lunch.
