Solve Your Family’s Photographic Mysteries and Learn How to Preserve Them!

The Springs Historical Society and the Meyersdale Public Library are joining forces to preserve early photos of the area and to archive them for future reference. We are inviting area residents to participate on Saturday September 22. We are looking for photos that have been taken prior to 1945, please remove from frames and album pages. The workshop is a two-part event - morning session from 9:00 am – 11:30 am, volunteers will be on hand to scan your photos (no more than ten). Photos will be displayed during the afternoon session from 12:30 – 3:00 pm.  A photo expert from the Carnegie Museum will share tips on preserving photos at 1:00 pm.

Admission is free and open to the public. The workshop will be held in the Folk Meeting House, 1711 Springs Rd, Springs, PA on Sat. Sept. 22nd.  For further information, contact the Springs Historical Society ( or 814-442-4594).
