Travel to the Emerald Isle with Dublin-born composer Charles Stanford’s charming Irish Rhapsody. Known for her “exceptionally rich and vibrant tone” (Washington Post) Lorna McGhee, principal flute for the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra plays CPE Bach’s virtuosic Flute Concerto.  The concert, conducted by Daniel Meyer, also includes Schumann’s Symphony No. 1 “Spring.”
