SAMA’s Family Fun Day will offer activities for all ages. Arts and crafts activities will be offered for the entire family, with projects including silk marbling, necklace making, acrylic pouring, papier mache murals, rock painting, and much more. Children also will be able to participate in a variety of games.
Artists such as Jaime Cooper, painter, and Bob Zabrowski, potter, will be demonstrating and selling their work on the museum lawn, and a variety of snack foods will be available for sale. Robert Roush will provide live acoustic music.
Inside the Museum, guests may purchase tickets for a basket raffle. On view in the Elizabeth Shaw Gamble Gallery is Doreen Currie: Plein-Air Paradigm. The exhibition features more than 60 landscape oil paintings by the Latrobe artist.
“I am privileged to be hosting our second annual Family Fun Day program at SAMA-Ligonier Valley,” said Site Coordinator Kristin Miller. “This Family Fun Day is our way of saying thanks to the community for supporting us throughout the year. I invite all of our friends, neighbors and patrons to join us for a day of exciting and enjoyable activities for all ages.”
