Historic Hanna's Town will offer a variety of activity stations and scheduled programs on our annual Fall Family Day. Celebrate fall and explore the history of Halloween with fun for all ages! Dressing up in costume for trick-or-treating around Hanna's Town is encouraged, but not required.
Play traditional 18th century games in Hanna's Tavern and learn about the early history of Halloween. Create fall-themed crafts and decorate your own pumpkin. Visit the Proctor’s Militia camp, learn about life in the first county militia established in 1775, and watch demonstrations of 18th century military drills and practices.
Throughout Fall Family Day, the Westmoreland History Shop in the Education Center will serve cider and doughnuts. The Shop will have an assortment of fall and Halloween themed items for sale along with their regular merchandise, including handmade home decor, jewelry, books, baking mixes, jams, and more.
