Donnie Iris and The Cruisers released five albums starting 40 years ago, in 1980: Back On The Streets (1980), followed by King Cool (1981), The High And The Mighty (1982), Fortune 410 (1983), and No Muss No Fuss (1984). Those records include scores of hits and fan favorites — such as: “Ah! Leah!” “I Can’t Hear You,” “That’s The Way Love Ought To Be,” “Love Is Like A Rock,” “Tough World,” and “Do You Compute.” Donnie Iris & The Cruisers have continued to sell out shows well into the 21st century, which speaks volumes about the enduring quality of the music and Donnie’s showmanship.
Beginning in 1980, the band started touring relentlessly, pausing only for bouts of recording. During a three year stretch, the band headlined shows all over the country with artists such as: Journey, Loverboy, Bryan Adams, Foreigner, Bon Jovi, Eddie Money, Ted Nugent, Joan Jett, Daryl Hall & John Oates, Michael Stanley & many more!
