Cauldron of Steel, a historical drama written and directed by Rennick Steele, about brave immigrants coming to America via Ellis Island, to work in the new steel mill in Vandergrift, Pennsylvania—a “worker’s paradise” conceived and built by George McMurtry. Of course, there are obstacles to reaching “paradise” of any kind. Cauldron of Steel reflects the willingness of people to sacrifice everything in search of a better life for their families. Cauldron pays homage to those immigrants. Their story is inspirational. Their story is our story
