November 1, 2019 - November 2, 2019

The Braddock Road Preservation Association was formed in 1989 as the Jumonville Preservation Association. Its first meeting was attended by a few interested history buffs, and has grown to be one of the premier French & Indian War seminars in the country since then. The annual French and Indian War seminar at Jumonville is held the first Friday and Saturday of November. It features:

Guest speakers, including some of the top historians and museum directors in the field.

Slide shows, music presentations, and in 2000 the premiere of a major documentary film.

Exhibits of period artifacts.

Displays by antiquarian book and rare print dealers.

Participation by the National Park Service.

The French & Indian War Seminar at Jumonville features a Bus Tour to Fort Cumberland, Frostburg University, and Fort Necessity to see artifacts and documentation of the original Braddock's Road through MD and PA.

Highlights include a reception on Friday night and top historians & museum directors, slide shows, music presentations, artifacts exhibits, rare book and print dealers, and National Park displays on Saturday.
