Idlewild and SoakZone is open for its 141st season, making it the third longest continuously operating amusement park in the country! The park is only open for limited hours until June 1, then it will be open daily for the remainder of the regular season.
Idlewild's signature attraction, Rollo Coaster, is celebrating its 80th anniversary! This season, it will reopen with a new coaster train sporting a brand new look. The park's other coaster, Wild Mouse, also got a fresh coat of paint this winter!
A day at an amusement park isn't complete until you get your grub on! In addition to funnel cakes, pizza, nachos and icees, this summer you can enjoy Auntie Anne's Pretzels! They will be serving a full menu of pretzels, nuggets, pretzel dogs, frozen lemonades and more.
By mid-summer, the park will welcome a brand new attraction: Pirate's Treasure Cove, a family-friendly escape room. Find clues, solve riddles and work as a family/team to make your way out without running out of time!
Idlewild will continue to offer character events for the kids, including daily Princess Lily Tea Parties and weekly Daniel Tiger Eat and Greets. Throughout the summer, kids will also have the chance to meet and chat with special characters:
- Peg + Cat - June 18-22
- Kody Kapow - July 6
- Daniel Tiger Neighbor Days - July 9 - 13
- Caillou - July 16 - 20
- Princesses in the Park (Cinderella and Beauty) - July 24, 25, 26
