Make your way to the Laurel Highlands and step back in time at the 2019 Pittsburgh Renaissance Festival! This is an event like no other! As you're walking along the village streets, you'll meet costumed characters of all kinds, witness interactive theater performances and jousting around every corner and browse many unique goods at artisan booths.  

Music in the Mountains at Ohiopyle State Park - August 31 - Sept. 1

Experience mountain life and spend the weekend at Ohiopyle, Pennsylvania's largest state park! Music in the Mountains will have crowds congregating in the Main Falls Area for nonstop music all weekend. In addition to live entertainment, you will experience demonstrations, unique craft booths and food vendors scattered about.

So you've meandered through the exhibits at Fort Ligonier, have you seen it come to life? During Living History Weekend, visitors will get the chance to see life as it was at Fort Ligonier during the French and Indian War era. Witness live history demonstrations and musket firings, interact with costumed interpreters who will explain what you see and why and play 18th century games! 

26th Annual Pennsylvania Arts & Crafts Labor Day Festival - August 30 - Sept. 2

If you're a fan of homemade goods, you can't miss the 26th Annual Pennsylvania Arts and Crafts Labor Day Festival. More than 200 vendors from 13 states will set up at the Westmoreland Fairgrounds for four days and sell items ranging from seasonal home decorations to gourmet pre-packaged foods and embellished clothing to ceramics. While you're browsing, enjoy activities for the whole family, including musical performances and a petting zoo.

Community Day: Makerspace Museum at The Westmoreland Museum of American Art - Sept. 1

Spend Sunday afternoon tinkering and experimenting at the Westmoreland Museum of American Art's Community Day: Makerspace Museum. The museum will become a place of creative freedom with a variety of materials, technology and tools for you to get hands-on and feel the inspiration flowing. As if the event couldn't be cooler, it's free AND there will be donuts up for grabs! 

Labor Day Celebration at Northmoreland Park - Sept. 1

The Labor Day Celebration at Northmoreland Park is the perfect way to spend your holiday weekend with family! There is no event admission, but for a small fee, you can buy an all-day activity pass for unlimited use of traditional carnival rides, the petting zoo, train rides, bounce houses, NERF obstacle courses and more. Parents will have their own fun playing bingo, browsing an arts and crafts marketplace and flea market, enjoying live entertainment and more!
