Forbes Travel Guide Bestows Five-Star Status to Nemacolin Woodlands Resort’s Lautrec Restaurant
Farmington, Pa. (February 22, 2016) – Forbes Travel Guide revealed its 58th list of Star Rating winners and Nemacolin Woodlands Resort’s Lautrec Restaurant has been named one of 56 Five-Star restaurants in the world by Forbes Travel Guide, and one of just two in the state of Pennsylvania. This is the eighth consecutive year that Lautrec has been bestowed the prestigious award.
Lautrec first received its Fifth Star in 2009 and has continued to emerge as one of the finest dining establishments in the world. “This is truly a remarkable achievement and is a testament to the Lautrec culinary team,” said Nemacolin Woodlands Resort’s Managing Director, Monte Hansen. “Their passion for food, presentation and service is what has propelled this restaurant into a world renowned dining experience.”
Lautrec is one of only 27 restaurants in the world to boast the Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star award alongside the coveted AAA Five-Diamond award. Redefining European-American cuisine, Lautrec’s innovative menu is the culinary artwork of Chef Kristin Butterworth, Chef de Cuisine. Chef Butterworth is currently the youngest and only female chef in the world to lead a Five Diamond, Five Star restaurant, accomplishing this feat at the tender age of 28. “It is a true testament to Chef Butterworth and the Lautrec team,” said Hansen. “To think that Lautrec is one of only 27 restaurants in the world to earn such high industry rating is amazing to say the least.”
