The Laurel Highlands Pour Tour is a new self-guided experience that allows visitors to “discover the story and people behind every craft beverage in the Laurel Highlands” east of Pittsburgh.

It’s a good area for such a promotion. It maps breweries, wineries, distilleries, a meadery and a new cidery — a total of 31 stops — with a lot of other good scenery and other attractions in Fayette, Somerset and Westmoreland counties. 

The tour “weaves together history, exceptional landscape, and entrepreneurship into a trail of flavorful destinations,” says Ann Nemanic, executive director of the Laurel Highlands Visitors Bureau, which has organized the trail.
