The Laurel Highlands is famous for its lush landscape in the Allegheny Mountains, but not everybody realizes that this fertile region also produces some exceptional Pennsylvania wines. These amazing PA wineries offer more than just great boutique wines. Many feature live music, amazing food, and special events throughout the season. Spend the weekend taking a tour of all the wineries, and get a taste of the Laurel Highlands at each stop. Stop by and get some locally made wine from the farm. Sit in the gardens, by the lake, or on a porch overlooking the vineyards, and enjoy beautiful scenery of the Laurel Highlands as you sample unique PA wines.
Take a short day trip from the Pittsburgh, or find a place to stay in the heart of the Laurel Highlands.
The Southwest Passage Wine Trail includes 7 wineries that are located throughout the mountains and valleys of Southwestern PA. The trail includes all of the above wineries except Stone Villa and also includes Raspberry Acres Winery and Thistlethwaite Vineyards.
