Twenty years after the removal of the original castle, Mother Goose and all of the Storybook Forest friends have decided to rebuild and bring this wonderful family of characters back to life! Visit the new Enchanted Castle, the home of Princess Lily, a descendant of the Golden Knight - the resident of the original Enchanted Castle. Try your luck at removing the famed sword, Excalibur, from the stone in the courtyard. Take a walk through the new quaint village, visit with Duke the Dragon, and celebrate 60 years of classic stories and nursery rhymes in Storybook Forest.
Ride dozens of waterslides. Dive headfirst down the hydro racers, or take the Pipeline Plunge, where you’ll twist down through the dark tunnel and through the water curtains. Ride the tide in the Wowabunga Family Wave Pool.
Little ones will love the Little Squirts pool and water fun area, while bigger kids can have an adventure more their size on the Captain kidd’s Adventure Galley, a structure with six waterslides and dozens of spray and splash fun features.
Float away the day at Float Away Bay, and travel the length of two football fields on the lazy river. Chill out in the beach area under canopies and cabanas. SoakZone takes soaked to a whole new level with the Tipping Bucket, where hundreds of gallons of water are dumped on those caught below.
There’s so much fun to be had all across the park, from the classic Ferris Wheel, Merry Go Round, and Rollo Coaster in Olde Idlewild to the dozens of kiddie rides in Raccoon Lagoon. Take a spin on the Tea Cups. Ride the Whip, an Idlewild classic. The kids will love Jumpin’ Jungle, where they can jump into Bubbling Springs, a huge ball pit, take a ride down Bigfoot’s mudslide, cross the Alligator Swamp, and much more. Take a trolley ride through Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood, inspired by the original Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood. Catch an in-park kid show while you’re in the park for even more interactive fun.
See the park in a whole new light with Independence Day celebrations. Meet Princesses Beauty and Cinderella during the special princesses in the park days. Enjoy delicious cuisine on the Italian Day Festa! Bring the kids to the park on Daniel Tiger Neighbor Days to meet Daniel Tiger, Katerina Kittycat, O the Owl, Miss Elaina and Prince Wednesday from the PBS television show.

See the Laurel Highlands with its foliage ablaze in beautiful color while the park is decorated with thousands of cornstalks, hay bales, and pumpkins too! Designed for the entire family, it may be a little spooky and fun, but there's nothing frightful about this Halloween event.
Idlewild's HALLOWBOO! Operates every Saturday and Sunday in October from 11:30 a.m.- 6 p.m.
