Places to Stay
A historic performing arts venue opened in 1926 as a vaudeville theatre, The Palace Theatre today welcomes 70,000+ guests annually. Its vibrant schedule features nationally touring comedy, concerts, musical theatre, dance and family shows, in addition to hosting presentations by regional music, dance and theatre organizations. The French Renaissance décor is highlighted by two Louis Grell murals and Grecian marble. Now seating 1,369, the Theatre is beautifully maintained by Westmoreland Cultural Trust. A free concert series on Thursday evenings throughout the summer showcases local musicians and singers in the S&T Bank Courtyard. One-hour tours by advance arrangement provide historical perspective to this cultural gem. Consider our Megan’s Suite, Lobby and the Theatre itself – even on stage - for a unique catered event, meeting or celebration.
