The Lamp Theatre. An integral part of the Irwin landscape since 1937 when she opened her doors for the first time and aired the movie "Come & Get It". Actor Walter Brennan received an Academy Award for his performance in this melodrama. Reopening in the Summer of 2016, The Lamp has undergone a remarkable transformation. Visitors will enjoy live performances and digital productions throughout the year in the cozy 365 seat theatre. A beautiful courtyard will be coming soon where patrons can enjoy refreshments before, during intermission, or at the conclusion of a show. The Lamp not only anchors the local community but is a venue for all surrounding communities. If you are minutes away or a few miles away, you can come to Downtown Irwin and enjoy dinner before the show. The town has many friendly merchants, so be sure to stroll the sidewalk before heading in for a performance. How do you find us? It's easy.......look for the magical 'genie' lamp outside our entrance on Main Street!
