The castle stands at the crossroads of local, regional and national history located near several Native American villages. The octagonal tower battlements date back to the original stone house, which predates the castle. The trading post provided refuge from Indians and a stopping off point for westbound settlers.

Nemacolin Castle is the Mon Valley’s finest house museum. Offering ghost, Christmas and History tours.
