The history of the weaving industry, and stunning examples of folk art and design at the Foster and Muriel McCarl Coverlet Gallery located on the beautiful campus of Saint Vincent College in the Fred M. Rogers Center. Featuring three changing exhibits a year, there is always something new to see at the McCarl Coverlet Gallery. The Gallery contains the exhibit and storage space for the Foster and Muriel McCarl Coverlet Collection of almost 400 hand-woven coverlets made in America during the first half of the 19th century. It is one of the most prominent collections of 'figured and fancy' coverlets in the United States. Special programming and changing exhibits make this Gallery a must-see for adults and children alike. Admission is free for general tours. Special programming is available for school tours.
