At Dr. McCarthy’s, we aim to do things differently. Dr. Roxanne McCarthy’s philosophy on food is that flavor doesn’t have to be sacrificed in pursuit of wellness. With a focus on quality of ingredients, lots of herbs, rustic whole grains, and minimal animal fats, Dr. McCarthy has honed a veritable arsenal of delicious recipes from starters to dessert. Not only is the food tasty and satisfying, but you can enjoy an entire meal and feel refreshed, not sluggish afterwards.
In December of 2013, Chef Joshua Diehl joined the team and brought along his unique perspective. Living in the Laurel Highlands of Pennsylvania, he had the opportunity to network with many great farmers in the area. Through these relationships, we are able to offer farm-to-table in its truest sense: grass-fed beef, pasture-raised chicken, woodlands-foraging pork, even our own herb and edible flower garden.
This attention to detail and quality reaches to beverages as well. We feature Rishi Teas, a Fair Trade purveyor of unparalleled quality teas from around the globe. Our coffee is purchased exclusively through Kickapoo Coffee Co. out of Wisconsin, which routinely has their beans score above 90 on coffeereview.com. Their solid ethics of buying only through Fair Trade Cooperatives shines through to their superior flavor. Our beer, wine, and spirits program is in constant pursuit of the most exciting, unique, and flavorful beverages we can find.
