Enjoy "history with a smile" as you are guided through this authentically restored 1799 stagecoach stop complex nestled at the foot of the mountains in the Laurel Highlands. Compass Inn served as a popular Inn for stagecoach travelers during the first half of the 19th century. The tour includes the original Inn and four reconstructed out buildings: the cookhouse features a beehive oven, the blacksmith shop has a working forge, the carpenter shop with a hand cranked fly-wheel for lathe operation and the barn that houses an 1880 Studebaker wagon, a restored stagecoach and Conestoga Wagon, complete with a six horse hitch. Visit the Compass Inn Museum and step back in time to experience life as our forefathers lived it!
