Cedar Creek Park is the premiere access point for Westmoreland County residents to the Great Allegheny Passage Trail, a regional trail system that links Washington D.C. to Pittsburgh. The trail passes directly through the Manderino Riverfront portion of the park. An indoor activity center, 19 outdoor picnic pavilions, an amphitheater, several sports fields, model radio-controlled airfield and scenic play areas are just a few of the many reasons why Cedar Creek Park is always heavily visited. One of the more unique features within Cedar Creek Park’s 479 acres is a spectacular deep gorge cut by Cedar Creek in the northern section of the park. A walk along the gorge trail provides a breathtaking view of the surrounding landscape.
