BARC a 501c3 non-profit CDC serves Brownsville Borough and its neighboring communities.

BARC, established 1989, strives to improve Brownsville’s economy by restoring buildings and encouraging businesses and residents to enjoy life in this historic town.
BARC operates two independent museums, Frank L. Melega Art Museum and Heritage Historical Museum. Visit our museums; step back in time; view our topographic map and artifacts relating to the many layers of history Brownsville has experienced. Hear about upcoming plans for the rebirth of the community.

BARC also sponsors: a membership drive, Ducky Race, The Taste of Italy event, Lotto Calendar and promotes the Monongahela River, community festivals and artists.
