Seven Springs Mountain Resort will host the next MOTHER EARTH NEWS INSTITUTE on Finding Your Farm Tipping Point. Join Joel Salatin of Polyface Farms for an intensive four-day retreat beginning Thursday, November 10, 2016. This one-of-a-kind experience is designed specifically for the family farm that strives to be a successful full-time business. This program doesn’t just focus on the business of farming, but also the inherent nuances of a family operation that impacts all people involved both financially and emotionally.   • The Mother Earth News Institute: Finding Your Farm Tipping Point event will kick off Thursday evening at 6 p.m. with a welcome reception and fresh farm-to-table dinner that includes local meats and vegetables, artisan baked breads, wine pairings and more! There will be an introduction of Pennies, Plans and People, the Life Goals, Functional Strategy and Personal Synchronicity as well as what’s to come over the extended weekend.

Joel Salatin is a third-generation, beyond organic farmer and author whose family owns and operates Polyface Farm in Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley.
