The students in Room 207 were the worst-behaved class in the whole school: spitballs stuck to the ceiling; paper airplanes whizzing through the air – even though they had the sweetest teacher of all, Miss Nelson. When Miss Nelson unexpectedly does not come to school one day, the class gets the strictest substitute they have ever met: Miss Viola Swamp! Hopefully the students of Room 207 will find Miss Nelson before it’s too late – for them!

Reservations are available by calling the box office at 724-439-1360. All seats are $3 per person. Please Note: Education Series performances are for school groups only. We do not take reservations from individuals or families. If you are interested in a show, encourage your child’s class to attend.

The Education Series offers field trip opportunities for public, private, and home schooling groups. Education Series performances are professional, nationally touring productions geared to young audiences to educate and entertain, making the State Theatre and extension of the classroom and offering many children their first opportunity to experience the lively arts.

All Education Series performances provide a study guide with pre- and post- show discussion topics and activities to enhance the learning experience. Recommended ages and grade levels are provided. Those age groups will get the most out of the production. Audience members younger and older than the recommended age group are welcome to attend and will understand and enjoy most of the production. Teachers, as you know your class and your students’ abilities, use your discretion.
