Fall Wheel Throwing Classes with Frank DeFabo

This six-week class covers basic throwing and glazing techniques. Students learn how to make cups, bowls, and other vessels, how to alter thrown pieces, and make and attach handles. Class time includes informal discussion, demonstration and hands-on instruction.
September 28, October 5, October 19, October 26, November 2. All work must be completed and ready to bisque fire by November 13. November 16 - glazing only
Registration for a 6-week class is only $165 per person. It includes 25 lbs. of clay, glazes, one bisque firing, and one glaze firing. Classes meet Wednesdays from 6:30-8:30pm, with open studio time available for practice during regular gallery hours. Classes are limited to 6 students, ensuring a high level of individual attention, and are on a first-come, first-served basis.
The cost is $165 for six classes. Size is limited to 6 participants and pre-registration is required with a $80 deposit.* The balance of $85 is due at the first class. If you do not show up for the first class, you will not be considered registered. You may pay by phone with a credit card by calling Main Exhibit Gallery & Art Center at 724-238-2310 during regular business hours, (M-F 11-5, Sat 10-5, Sun 12-5) or stop by the Gallery at 301 W Main St, Ligonier.
* In the event the class is cancelled, your deposit will be refunded, or if you cancel at least two weeks prior to class starting.
