Fall Family Day at Historic Hanna's Town

The Westmoreland County Historical Society’s Fall Family Day at Historic Hanna’s Town will feature an encampment with John Proctor’s Independent Battalion Westmoreland County Pennsylvania. Programs will feature 18th century life, including a military camp, and demonstrations of period fire-arms at the fort.

Throughout the day guests may:

Tour the site
Play 18th century toys and games, enjoy fall crafts & snacks.
Participate in a walk to the old cemetery at 1:00 p.m. and see the dramatic portrayal of “The Curse of John Trotter.”
Scheduled events:

10:00 Flag raising. Site opens.

11:00 Morning drill and demonstration by Proctor’s Militia. Near Fort

Noon – 1:00 Camps open to hear about camp life, clothing, weapons

1:00 Cemetery Tour & Curse of John Trotter reenactment. Gather on porch of Klingensmith House.

3:00 Musket and artillery firing demo. Near Fort.
