Foxwell - Coffee House Series 2's Performing Artist followed by an hour of Open Mic for local teens/youth
The Community Arts Center is happy to resurrect the Coffee House Series. Coffee House is an opportunity for the community to gather together, enjoy some free local music and savor a great cup of coffee. The Coffee House is FREE to the public and takes place in the Goldhaber-Fend Fine Arts Gallery, surrounded by the current art exhibition.
Despite Foxwell being a fairly new, fresh project, the moniker created by Benjamin Murdy has already made a bit of a splash. Combining elements of Bright Eyes, American Football, La Dispute, and Julien Baker, Foxwell has found its niche in the underground D.I.Y. music scene, and has played extensively on this circuit, including Michigan, New York, North Carolina, and multiple areas of Pennsylvania. Most of Foxwell's music focuses on being largely introspective and self-aware, taking on topics in songs that ask the listener to sit down and think, and conveys this in both lyricism and instrumentation. Foxwell incorporates elements into the songwriting process that prove to keep a variety of listeners happy, regardless of age.
Following Foxwell's act, we want to promote the Performing Arts in our community by welcoming local teen/ youth to come together and enjoy the opportunity for Open Mic here at the Community Arts Center!
Mill House Cafe will provide beverages and pastries for purchase.
$5.00 donation encouraged.
