After a long, hot summer, it’s nice to finally focus on fall. The changing leaves, the cooler breezes, the smells of sausage cooking and the tastes of beer …
Nemacolin Woodlands Resort, a luxury resort located in the Laurel Highlands of southwestern Pennsylvania, is ushering in autumn with its annual “Brews & Brats” festival, which will be held from noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday, October 8 at the resort’s Sundial Lodge.
In addition to cooking up the best wurst around – as well as other German-themed foods – Nemacolin will offer tastings of a variety of craft beers from local and regional breweries. Guests can get further immersed in beer-themed fun by participating in beer stein and beer barrel races.
For those seeking a bit more adventure, an all-inclusive adventure pass is available for $30 per person, giving guests access to the resort’s climbing wall; ropes courses; 3,000-foot Fatbird SuperFlyer zip line; and the newest adventure amenity, QuickJump, a 50-foot attraction that allows riders to experience free fall.
Though the beer aspects of this autumnal afternoon are limited to guests ages 21 and older, there will be plenty to keep little ones occupied, including a Kidz Kraft Korner. The event will also feature live entertainment by The Delaneys, a local pop and Top 40 band.
There is no admission fee for Brews & Brats (activities are a la carte), and the festival is open to everyone … not just resort guests.
