An Evening with Lyle Lovett and Robert Earl Keen
- Oct 11, 2016
- 21 West Otterman Street
- Greensburg, PA 15601
One night, one stage…two incredible songwriters!
Texas singer-songwriters Lyle Lovett and Robert Earl Keen will be performing together again, playing stripped-down versions of their most well-known songs and sharing stories of their friendship and the music that you love.
With his gift for storytelling, singer-composer-actor Lyle Lovett has broadened the definition of American music in a career that spans 15 albums. Among his many accolades, besides his four Grammy Awards, he was given the Americana Music Association’s inaugural Trailblazer Award, and was named the Texas State Musician. His works, rich and eclectic, are some of the most beloved of any living artist working today.
Fellow musical trailblazer Robert Earl Keen emerged on the Texas music scene in the 1980s where he quickly earned a reputation for his unusual balance of sensitive story-telling and raucousness. BMI recently presented him with their first ever Troubadour Award for excellence in songwriting, a songwriter’s songwriter. Now three-decades on from the release of his debut album — with eighteen other records to his name, thousands of shows under his belt and still no end in sight to the road ahead — Keen is the very symbol of Americana music.
