When “It Shoulda Been You” opened on Broadway, Variety proclaimed it “Awfully funny…with out-of-the-blue zingers that harvest big laughs.” Broadway World said “Terrifically funny …plenty of good laughs and just enough sentiment to warm the heart.” And Time Out New York concurred by stating “This wedding cake of a musical is seasoned and flavorful.”

Charles Penick (of Monroeville) is directing the Pendemer production of “It Shouda Been You”, with Kevin Milliken (of Uniontown) as Music Director and Ashley Harmon (of Murrysville) as Choreographer. The cast is composed of Kristin Pacelli, Howard Elson, George Heigel, Katelynn Reist, James Hartley, Susan Skosko, Cody Sweet (all of Pittsburgh), Kathy Hawk of South Park, Laura Karner of Baden, John Henry Steelman of Indiana, Tom Sarp of Latrobe, and Chris Strangfeld of Beaver Falls. Mr. Strangfeld is also the scenic designer of the show’s elaborate Manhattan hotel set.

“It Shoulda Been You” is a guaranteed musical crowd-pleaser. Performance dates are March 18 and 25 at 8:00 pm. with 2:00 matinee performances on March 18, 19, 25 & 26 at the Lamp Theatre in Irwin, PA.
