We may be mourning the end of summer, but we don’t have to say goodbye to a few of our favorite outdoor activities just yet. Head out on the Great Allegheny Passage for one of the best views of the autumn color, and enjoy the breeze as the leaves start to change. Fly like a bird on a zip line or canopy tour. Take a hike through the wilderness to incredible vistas and snap some photos of the panoramic view.
Nothing beats a stroll around Ligonier this time of year. Be sure to stop in at the tavern for a classic Ligonier experience. With the homemade classic foods prepared with fresh ingredients and such a charming atmosphere, Ligonier Tavern is a little slice of classic Americana with a wonderful taste. Sit on the front balcony and look out over town as you enjoy the last few warmer days of the year.

The only brewery in Somerset County, Whitehorse, a micro micro-brewery open on Fridays and Saturdays, brews all natural beers with a taste of southwestern, PA. Some of their seasonal flavors even feature natural local flavors, like real maple sugar and wildflower honey.
